Jordan Brand has been putting out lots of impressive releases for the women over the last couple of years and today we bring you a new Air Jordan 1 Mid created specifically for the ladies in mind. Starting off with white leather paneling on the side panels and toebox, this Air Jordan 1 is then hit with Crimson Tint nubuck overlays, the same shade of pink/orange that we saw on another recent Air Jordan 1 release. Hyper Pink on the laces, tongue branding, and outsole adds another burst of color while the addition of black on the tongue, inner liner, and canvas Swoosh cap off the look on this Jordan 1 Mid that can be scooped up at select retailers now for $120.

The Air Jordan 1 is adding some interesting graphics to the upper.
Jordan Brand has been doing a lot of experimentation with Air Jordan 1 High OG over the last few years with much of it occurring after their hyped up collaboration with Virgil Abloh of Off-White. Virgil’s obsession with writing on the shoes has led to some graphic-heavy designs over the last year and a half or so and it appears as though Jumpman is looking to continue that trend. A brand new AJ1 model was revealed recently courtesy of the Instagram account @zsneakerheadz which details some pretty interesting design choices.

First off, the vast majority of the shoe is covered in white leather, although the back heel and the Nike swoosh on the inside are yellow. Meanwhile, a yellow barcode can be found on the side of the shoe, while a black and white barcode is placed on the back. There is also a “23″ recycling logo on the same side as the yellow barcode.

Aside from the Instagram post, there isn’t much information regarding this shoe as far as its name or its release date.

Be sure to stay tuned for any updates on the sneaker as we will be sure to bring them to you.

The flesh-colored Hyper Pink contrasts perfectly against the black panels, as it appears at the toe box, Swoosh, collar eyestay, and heel. Those interested can find these launching over at Nike’s SNKRS on April 11 for a price of $160 USD.

With much anticipation for the upcoming release of the sacai x Nike collaboration, AMAC Customs have created their own custom Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG. Taking inspiration from the collaborative sacai shoes, the custom AJ1 sports a variety of doubled-up detailing.

The high top sneaker sports a Jordan 1 silhouette, completely built from scratch and employing the sole of a Jordan 1 “Sports Illustrated.” The upper consists of a mixture of navy waffle mesh and tumbled leather along with yellow carbon fiber as an ode to the colorful and dynamic twists of the upcoming Deconstructed Blazer Highs and the “LDV with Waffle Daybreak” sneakers. Similarly, the toe panels, heel wings, heel panels, tongues and laces are all doubled up, to give the same over constructed feel. To finish, the shoe sports double silver silk Swoosh logos that wrap from the heel to the midfoot.

In case you missed it, Nike announces it won’t be releasing any sneakers for Air Max Day 2019.

It appears that Jordan Brand will be using an unlikely source of inspiration for its latest Air Jordan 1 Mid, the colorway inspired by a classic commercial from the brand itself.

The mid-cut version of the popular silo will feature a simple execution, with a glossy black leather construction on the upper and contrasting white accents found underneath the Swoosh, tongue, laces and midsole. The shoe’s standout feature is seen on the tongue tag, which bears the quote “Maybe I Destroyed the Game,” famously stated by Michael Jordan in the ‘Become Legendary’ Air Jordan XX3 commercial back in 2008.

Look for the “Maybe I Destroyed the Game” Air Jordan 1 Mid to launch in the coming weeks on Nike.com and at select Jordan Brand retailers for $110.

The “Chicago” palette of red, black, and white was the first — and arguably the most iconic — color scheme to ever grace the Air Jordan 1. Now, “Chicago” is coming back in a new style, adorning the women’s-only Air Jordan 1 Low Slip — an updated retail version of an unreleased sample from 2007. Apart from the noticeable absence of laces, the shoes boast plenty of other special details as well: the midfoot Swoosh is fully embroidered with thick black stitching, and a small white Swoosh on the lateral mudguard adds extra branding. The tongue tag is flipped inside-out and repeated all the way down the throat as well as appearing on the heel, adding a factory-style touch to the classic color scheme. A standard white midsole and red AJ1 outsole then complete the look. These new Jordan shoes for the ladies are set to release March 1st for $110 USD, so check out a store list and full set of official images below to prepare yourself for the drop.

With the excitement around the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG as feverish as ever after the recent release of the “Neutral Grey” colorway, another brand-new Air Jordan 1 is now set to release: the Hornets-inspired “Turbo Green.” Although this new makeup does feature the same “SP 19 Air Jordan 1 High OG” branded hit on its lateral quarter as its aforementioned counterpart, that’s where the similarities end. A mix of supple white leather and soft sail suede are used for the base, while the overlays and Swoosh are dressed in a “Turbo Green” suede that toes the line between light blue and seafoam green masterfully. A finishing pop of style is then provided by the purple-and-yellow embellishments on the tongue badge, and a trifecta of lace options allow the wearer to add their own personal twist. Jordan Brand has just released a pair of Air Jordan 1 Mids dedicated to hardcore Lakers fans. Perfect for those still dreaming about the 2002-era three-peat days, the AJ1 Mid features the team’s signature yellow color across the upper panels of the shoe, outsole bottom, and on the Jordan tongue label. Royal Purple makes its way onto the insoles, shoelaces, and on the small Jumpman logo.

While the AJ1 Mid is not the most sought after model, the connection between this shoe’s colorway and the Los Angeles Lakers home jersey is sure to score points in the emotional department — you could also cop these to show some support to the current LeBron James-era Lakers.

Laker Nation-heads can find these over at nike.com in time for the NBA All-Star Game, retailing for $120 USD.

It seems there are an endless amount of black/red combinations on the Air Jordan 1. The original model donned by the GOAT returns on February 23rd in a new color-blocking style that reiterates the “Banned” narrative around the AJ1. You’ve heard the story of the NBA front office banning Michael’s shoes for its color-blocking. This Air Jordan 1 seems to comply with the all-black rule, but defiantly adds a bold red paint above the Swoosh as a sign of protest against the rule. Expected to drop the weekend after the 2019 All-Star Weekend, this Air Jordan 1 will be priced at $175. Stay tuned for updates.

Jordan Brand is set to debut a new version of the Air Jordan 1 called, the Air Jordan 1 Defiant, which is expected to arrive later this month.

Tracing the birth and evolution of modern sneaker culture is enough to fill a book (literally), but here’s one place to start: the Nike Air Force 1. Originally released in high-top form in 1982—the low followed a year later—the shoe was almost discontinued in 1984. But enthusiastic fan support, plus a bevy of colorways pushed by local retailers in Baltimore, Maryland, helped save it from the discard pile. And while other models from the era certainly hold a hell of a lot of sway in the sneaker world (ahem, the Air Jordan 1), the AF1 not only predated them but also introduced, early on, an artistically iterative model that’s become a staple of the culture.

If you’re a sneakerhead, you’re probably ready to do one of two things. 1) Nod in tentative agreement with my truncated but not entirely dumb take on the subject, or, 2) Throw your phone/computer/internet connected Tamagachi across the room, hunt me down, and tell me exactly what an idiot I am. That’s cool! Either way, you’ve got to admit: The Air Force 1 isn’t just a sneaker—it’s an icon. Here’s why you should have it in your rotation.

It’s accessible.

Okay, okay. Bear with me here. Because while the hype machine is arguably the most powerful force in the modern sneaker game, there’s something kind of perfect about a shoe that has bona fides—and doesn’t require lining up if you want a pair. Will a clean white AF1 low break necks at a convention? Will it rack up likes on Instagram? Maybe not. But it’s a damn good shoe that everyone—from high-school kids to their moms and dads—can appreciate. And considering the ever-shortening hype cycle, there’s something to be said for rising above the fray and simply wearing a pair of sneakers because they’re classic. Just saying.

It’s built for new ideas.

There’s a very good reason all those OG Baltimore retailers pushed for more and more colorways of the Air Force 1: the shoe is a canvas. The number of iterations since then—some mind-blowing, some misfires, and some middle of the road—boggles the mind. And while not every one is an unqualified winner, that’s not really the point. The AF1 is open to interpretation. Whether from fans or designers or influencers, new versions are always cropping up. That’s exactly what keeps it exciting.

It’s versatile as hell.

While I’m never going to scoff at a good one-off colorway or collab, I’m also a big fan of something simpler. A basic white pair shows off just how well the lines have aged over the years, and it works with everything in your closet. Plus, while low-profile kicks have their place, the AF1′s bulkier silhouette feels especially relevant right now, as our hems are getting wider and we need to balance things out. As our outfits shifts, white AF1s are a no-brainer. Of course, you might not feel the same way—though I urge you to see the light and give ‘em a try. But if it’s not your thing, that’s fine! Just find one of the many, many other versions and wear in good health. That’s the beauty of the Air Force 1.

As you know, 2018 has been one of the busiest years on record in the history of the timeless Air Jordan 1. Between original colorway drops, remixed takes on fan-favorites, and high profile collaborations with industry heavy hitters such as Union and even Paris-Saint Germain, it seems like there is a must-have AJ1 dropping just about every month – if not more. Beyond that, the oft-slept on Jordan 1 Mid is enjoying its own bustling campaign, with a bounty of in-line releases with flavorful color schemes that often times harken back to its “big brother” of sorts. Dressed in a vibrant array of vivid hues including teal, purple, red, and golden yellow, this upcoming offering touches on the more playful and audacious end in contrast with previous understated versions such as the white/black/silver that just recently hit stores. An official look is just below so expect its Nike.com drop to go down in the near future.

It’s been a good year for ladies-only Air Jordan 1s. From the “Satin Shattered Backboard” to the “AWOK” Jordan 1 High Zip in collaboration with Vogue, female sneakerheads have had an opportunity to get their hands on many a desirable pair. Now, the AJ1 has surfaced in another special makeup for the ladies: an all-black mid-top dressed in shiny patent leather, a material the classic silhouette is no stranger to. The entire upper is dressed in the eye-catching material, making for a look that’s understated in color but flashy in concept, and the stitched seams provide an interesting extra touch of textured detailing. The rest of the shoe is then kept simple, as the midsole and outsole are also done up in black. Equally at home being rocked with a dressy pantsuit as they are with a comfy pair of jeans, these new Air Jordan 1 Mids are available now at Finish Line for a standard retail price of $110 USD.

Thanks to the ever-popular “Shattered Backboard” line of Air Jordan 1s, orange, sail and black has become a hot color combo for the legendary silhouette. The Air Jordan 1 Mid has gotten in on the Halloween-esque color-blocked fun before, and now it’s set to do so again with the upcoming release of a grade school-only “Team Orange” colorway. The upper’s overlays feature a bold orange tumbled leather, while a faint peach appears on the underlays for an interesting tonal contrast. The collar and midfoot Swoosh both call upon a stark black for a touch of dark detailing, and the likeable look is then rounded off by blue laces/tongue detailing, a white midsole, and an orange outsole. These new 1 Mids will likely release later this month on Nike.com for $90 USD, so enjoy a full set of official images below, and keep it locked right here for info on a specific release date as it becomes available.
